Die gegenwärtig durch den technischen Fortschritt in der Informationstechnik entstehenden digitalen Währungen bieten interessante Alternativen zu herkömmlichen Geldwährungen. Die bekanntesten Vertreter dieser neuen Wirtschaftssysteme sind die Kryptowährungen wie Bitcoin, Primecoin oder Ethereum, welche auf der Blockchain-Technologie beruhen. Probleme liegen in der Stabilität der Kaufkraft des Kryptogelds und bei der Skalierbarkeit ihrer Transaktionssysteme. Das Buch zeigt, wie eine hypothetische ideale Kryptowährung aussehen müsste, die solche unerwünschten Eigenschaften nicht aufweist und wo die Schwierigkeiten liegen, diesem Ideal nahe zu kommen. Zudem stellt der Autor als Alternative zu den Kryptowährungen auf Basis der Blockchain eine ganz neue Form von digitaler Währung mit dem Einweg-Bezugsmittel Jad vor. Voraussetzung für eine Jad-basierte Wirtschaft ist die Möglichkeit, auch umfangreiche Daten dauerhaft unleugbar verfügbar machen zu können. Mit dem S-Netzwerk wird ein Konzept für eine entsprechend skalierende und hochgradig sichere Plattform vorgestellt. Ein Buch für alle, die ihr Wissen zu digitalen Währungen erweitern und kreativ über die bereits realisierten Kryptowährungen hinausdenken möchten.
